2024 Toyota Venza Review: Prime Model Joins the List

new 2024 Toyota Venza

Toyota has brought back the Venza SUV after a five-year hiatus. It takes up space in the mid-size two-row segment and uses only a hybrid drivetrain. After the return, the company did not change much in the two models of the next year. Experts do not think that the 2024 Toyota Venza will bring anything special and that a mid-life review is planned for the 2025 season.

However, the latest model has offered a new package. There will be some changes in the 2024 Toyota Venza for sure. One of the biggest upgrade fans who want to see another engine option. We see the plug-in hybrid as an alternative to the standard hybrid. The SUV is one of the most efficient in the segment when it comes to fuel economy as it is capable of 39 mpg. A PHEV can add more power, keeping the range at a premium.

Minor changes to the interior and exterior should include additional safety options, revisited markings, and new colors.

2024 Toyota Venza Prime Hybrid Specs

The 2024 Toyota Venza Prime will be a plug-in hybrid system with improved power compared to the standard engine configuration. The company will not go up to 300 hp, as is the case with Rav4 PHEV and a few other crossovers. But, more power is always welcome. In addition, the Venza Prime will not sacrifice too many miles from fuel economy.

The standard setup includes a 2.5-liter petrol unit and an electric motor. Combined, the system returns 39 mpg, which is an extraordinary result. A CVT is standard, along with AWD. The setup doesn't make for an exciting drive, though, even if 219 hp comes from the 2.5-liter plant.

Grades and Accessories

Three trim levels have been standard since the Venza's return. The SUV enters the market with the LE package, which includes 18-inch alloy wheels, power folding mirrors, and keyless entry. Toyota also revisited the infotainment system. Now, it has an 8-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and 4 USB ports for the LE trim.

The mid-range offering brings two options – the new 2024 Toyota Venza Nightshade Package and the XLE range. The second one upgrades the base crossover SUV with larger wheels, LED lights, roof rails, heated seats, leather-trimmed surfaces, larger infotainment and driver displays and parking sensors. The Nightshade model is almost the same, but everything is black to make the look more clear.

The 2024 Venza Limited remains the top of the range version. The Toyota pack features perforated leather, ventilated front buckets, a heated steering wheel and a JBL sound system. All Venzas use the Safety Sense 2.5+ package. The Limited edition also adds a HUD and a 360-degree camera. The Star Gaze panoramic roof is one of the options we recommend for only $1,500.
