2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Towing Capacity, Mileage and Price

2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid price

Toyota is at the forefront of innovation and the i-Force lineup shows why. The Japanese company is the first truck manufacturer to use hybrid technology in the truck segment. We're not talking about minor improvements that don't affect performance and fuel economy. The V6 is out and a new four-pot mill has taken its place. The public is very impressed with the next-generation system that will be available in the 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid.

The download has no competition. The Jeep Gladiator 4xe was also introduced, but it is a plug-in model. You'll find a few other pickups with hybrid systems, but those are compact models, with no new component for hauling large cargo. Such a car will be built by Toyota in the near future – the A solid truck.

Force Max System

Under the hood of the 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid is the i-Force Max system centered around a 2.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The electric motor adds 48 horsepower to the 278 hp produced by the gas unit. Combined, the system can provide 326 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Those results will attract attention. But, the main question is – how much can a combined truck haul? 6,000 pounds isn't bad, especially with gas mileage as high as the combination. Still, you can't get 30 mpg when the pickup is loaded. However, this is a step towards full electrification, which is likely to happen soon. The Tacoma EV model has already been announced.

The base setup can deliver 238 horsepower. The 2.4-liter engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Toyota fans are expecting a similar configuration for the upcoming 4Runner SUV. The i-Force configuration turbocharges the four-cylinder powertrain and increases output to 278 hp. Maximum towing capacity is 6,500 pounds, which is significantly less than the Jeep Gladiator and Chevy Colorado. Still, it doesn't stop the Tacoma from being the best midsize pickup on the market and the gap between it and the second best-selling model shows just how reliable the truck is.

Electric truck

For a long time, the van used a V6 and it was the buyer's favorite engine. However, Toyota cars are changing. First, the company is replacing large units with smaller and turbocharged mills. Also, many hybrids are available. Not only Tacoma but also big The Tundra offers such a setup, with a large gasoline engine.

The next stage of evolution is not far away. Hybrids reduce emissions and pollution, but zero-emission drivetrains are the ultimate goal. Toyota plans to introduce 25 EVs in the future, but when they did, they didn't go into details. However, an electric truck has been confirmed and the expected release date of the Toyota EV is as late as 2025. Other details, such as range and drag force are unknown.
