After changing my mind more times than I would have liked, I placed an order for a 2025 Ram 1500 RHO, and I am very happy with the deal I got.

The 2025 Ram 1500 RHO is an updated version of the popular Ram 1500 TRX without a new high-output, twin-turbo inline-6 Hurricane engine. Comes only with crew cab, 5-foot, 7-inch box.

2025 Ram 1500 RHO price with packages

The first question you may have is: How much did I spend? The RHO has an impressively low starting price of $71,990 and an included $1,995 destination charge. They call it $69,995.

Unlike many Ram 1500 trucks, such as the canceled Big Horn I, the RHO does not have many packages or options.

In fact, it has a single equipment group add-on of $9,995 and a small variety of additional options. I will include a full list of team additions and options at the bottom of this post.

With my order, I added an instrument cluster, graphics, a dual-pane panoramic moonroof, and an on-board 2kW power generator similar to the one I had in the 2021 Ford F-150 PowerBoost.

I also chose a two-tone paint option with white and black under the truck.

This brought my price to $84,870 with the aforementioned local currency.

That's a little more than the original price, but I'm getting an amazing and huge discount.

A reader emailed me and told me about Mark Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They offer huge discounts depending on how much you pay. After going back and forth with sales person Michal Stanak, I got my order confirmed with $10k off the price.

That brought my price to $74,970, which is not that far from the original price.

Why does the Ram 1500 RHO outperform other trucks?

This year I went back and forth trying to buy a Tacoma and then a Ram 1500 Big Horn. Why did I end up picking up a Ram 1500 RHO?

First, the Tacoma I wanted was too much money. I just can't see spending $55,000 for the Tacoma TRD Off-Road including the $9,995 package and all the goodies I wanted.

Then, I really want a Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter. I really like that truck, but again, the starting price of $62,000 is just too much for a mid-size truck to me.

And the Ram 1500 Big Horn I ordered came out to $72,575 with all options. I could have gotten one much cheaper, and I did. However, those trucks didn't have many options, and I would run out of things to talk about very quickly if I only talked about the engine.

The Ram 1500 RHO has enough new features and I think they are attractive enough for the views from our audience. It just comes down to making a business decision to get the newest truck this year with the most appeal.

An important point

Buying a new truck each year sounds great, but it's actually quite stressful trying to find THE ONE. I'm very happy with the RHO selection and getting the mission team pack for free at a discount. More to come on this truck.
